Farm to table food, in the heart of Kitsilano. Fable uses compostable takeout containers & cutlery, and compost all organic waste. They recycle plastic, glass and cardboard, and their local suppliers deliver in reusable bins which are returned for re-use.
The Fit Organix system is breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack, delivered fresh, daily.
Deliveries go out between 4am-6am, Monday to Friday, and we deliver to your front door, concierge desk, or office. If you require a different delivery time, we will be contacting you shortly after receiving your questionnaire, or you can contact us first: email@example.com.
You can take your Fit Organix delivery bag with you all day to have fresh and ready meals at all times, refrigerate it promptly, to ensure food safety. At the end of the day, leave your empty bag at your front door, and we will collect it the next morning and replace it with another day’s worth of delicious, unprocessed, freshly made meals.
Fresh’s food is made daily in-house, from whole, natural ingredients, and their juices are made right before your eyes. Their menu is totally vegan friendly, with dairy options available throughout, and all takeout containers are compostable and biodegradable.

They compost and recycle both on and off site. They do not use a restaurant service, preferring instead to hand pick the food they use from within 100 miles–mostly GMO free, sustainable, and or organic. They provide clients and staff with reusable shopping bags. If disposables are used on sight they are either plant based and biodegradable or made from post consumer waste. They also have a bring back program for the containers for weekly meal delivery.
Grasslands is focused on sustainable local food and drinks without compromise. 90% of the waste they create is compostable, 8% is recyclable, and only 2% is garbage! They encourage customers to bring their reusable containers for takeout, otherwise all take out packing is 100% compostable. Another bonus- they don’t use any plastic bags, so bring your own!

Greenhouse Juice Co. makes raw, organic cold-pressed juice and nut milk in small batches every day. They bottle them in glass, and have a bottle return program. For every 10 bottles a customer brings back, he/she receives a juice on the house and a complimentary yoga class. They also use biodegradable and recycled packaging, and recycle and compost their waste.
Heartwood offers a delicious vegetarian & vegan menu for vegetarians and omnivores alike. Their food is prepared with ingredients that are local and organically grown when available. They use biodegradable takeout containers, compost food waste, recycle and separate their garbage. They have water filters and don’t offer bottled water. And most of their food is made from scratch which eliminates unnecessary packaging.
Hearty Catering emphasizes Vegetarian, Vegan and Raw Cuisine, using local, seasonal vegetables and fruits, as well as dairy. They offer catering for a variety of events, including weddings, office lunches, conferences.
They use biodegradable take out containers and cutlery. Discounts are extended to customers who bring their own containers and reusable mugs for take out.
HomeGrown is all about making local food affordable, approachable & convenient.
They offer fast casual service with reusable plates, utensils and drinkware. Their napkins are made from a sustainable micro-fiber and are not disposable. All take-out containers and utensils are compostable and made from highly renewable resources. They compost, not only in the kitchen but also post-consumer in the dining room and at off-site events. They recycle everything. There is only one landfill item that a customer recieves at HomeGrown, the straw that comes with a boxed milk. All condiments are in bulk packaging, no single service containers. Even their waste service provider commented that they have less landfill waste than any other restaurant they service!
Pre or post workout, you can grab some healthy fuel from the NutriBoutique. Earn yogi reward points when you bring your own to-go cup, but if you forget, all their to-go drinkware is compostable/ biodegradeable. They also compost & recycle and are always looking for ways to reduce waste on the bar.

They use compostable carryout packaging, recycled paper napkins, have solar panels on their food vending cart (and can go completely off-the-grid for almost 2 hours), they purchase ingredients in bulk to reduce packaging, and strive to produce as little waste as possible every day. They also purchase as much local ingredients from local farmers as they can — which means no packaging and directly supporting small farms.
